Mail Merge Method<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This method is ideal if you want a bit of personalization, like first name, company, or job title, in the email you\u2019re sending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, it\u2019s a perfect fit for sending outreach emails as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have explained how to use the Mail Merge function for two popular ESPs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"#1-Mail-Merge-in-Gmail\">Mail Merge in Gmail<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"#2-Mail-Merge-in-Outlook\">Mail Merge in Outlook<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Both have slightly different processes, so check out the one that matches the platform you use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-Mail-Merge-in-Gmail\">1. First, create a Google Sheet with all the necessary personalization fields. Choose the email column, set the subject line, and hit OK.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Not the fastest or simplest method, but it still helps you send outreach emails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, the mail merge method works well, but it has its own shortcomings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It takes a lot of effort to set up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can easily hit Gmail or Outlook\u2019s sending limits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You cannot track outreach metrics like open rates, reply rates, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to skip all that hassle and still send personalized emails at scale, you should consider using an email automation tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.
